*This fix should probably be ported to the other SCM tools [I don't have a way to test]* The problem is that execute() winds up performing shell expansion of $NAME, and the quotes around the execute command line weren't correct to prevent shell expansion.
This change has been tested on Perforce on files with $ in them --
