Issue 1500, expand link stopped working

In 1.5Beta1, the expand link in view diffs is not working. Diff chunks are fetched, but the view is not updated. Thanks to sombrero for pointing to the change.
Tested on my staging server. Used Firebug to identify the issue and check the fix.
